Mr. Samui - Tours, transport & activities
Based on Maenam Beach on Koh Samui's quieter northern coast, Mr. Samui specialises in customisable private tours, island transport, and activity bookings for individuals, couples, and family groups. Rather than offering fixed itineraries, the team works with travellers to build experiences around their interests, pace, and mobility needs — a practical advantage for those travelling with children, older family members, or anyone with specific requirements. Guides such as Lam, Goy, Pod, and Nikki are consistently praised by visitors for their local knowledge, punctuality, and attentiveness throughout the day. Tours typically begin with a pickup from accommodation in a clean private vehicle, with the route confirmed based on what guests want to see. Beyond sightseeing tours, the operator handles transport logistics including speedboat and ferry transfers, making it a useful single point of contact for coordinating movement around the island and to neighbouring destinations. Good to know: Mr. Samui operates seven days a week from 9am, with most days running until 10pm — though Thursday hours are shorter, closing at 5pm. Booking in advance is advisable, particularly during peak travel periods, as private guide availability can be limited. Visiting or contacting them early in a trip allows time to plan a full itinerary. Current tour options and pricing are listed on their website at mrsamui.com.

Perfection! The best customised Koh Samui tour! Fabulous customised tour for our 6 person family group! I specifically chose this tour because it was customisable for our mobility and location needs. We were not part of a cruise group, just wanted an island tour while on vacation in Koh Samui. From the beginning, communication and service was fantastic. The vehicle is absolutely luxe and seats super comfortable. All the amenities like chilled water, tissues, raincoats were provided. Our tour guide and driver, Mr. Thai was absolutely incredible and his 15+ years in the role made him a very adaptable and knowledgeable host. Mr. Thai was easily able to navigate my mum's mobility restrictions and suggest experiences that would be easy access. We received lots of interesting information throughout and Mr. Thai was generous and considerate in every way! On our list were Capybara Cafe, Big Buddha, Wat Plai Laem, Guan Yu statue, Na Muang Waterfall 2 (flat entry) and local food markets and coconut grove. My family had a fantastic experience and everybody enjoyed the day. Thank you Mr. Thai and thank you Mr. Samui Tours. Highly recommend this family-owned and run business! Tip: Make sure you take enough Thai baht for markets, food, temple donations etc. Mr. Thai helped us find an international ATM. Tip: Mr. Thai knew all the best and cleanest (accommodating Western style) toilets on our trip!
We loved our wonderful private 6-hour tour with Mr. Samui. Our tour started with Pod, our tour guide, picking us up promptly in a spotless van. Before settling on a route, he asked about what we liked, wanted to see and then tailored a journey that matched that - adding spots that fit our tastes and stayed true to the culture of the island. Our tour ended up being part cultural tour and part street food tour with a few natural sights (a waterfall, good view point and fabulous beach lunch) mixed in. It was perfect for us. Pod clearly loves this island and the people, and wants visitors to see more than just the main tourist beach. Highly recommend booking with Mr. Samui Tours!
Communication from booking, to the details and coordination of our tour was seamless. Mr Lam our tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. He made sure that we were able to see our preferred spots when we’re in Koh Samui. The van was very comfortable, clean and water bottles as well as cold towels were provided. Highly recommended and will definitely book them again when I visit Koh Samui.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
