This sits up on the shortcut between Lamai and Mae Nam, and the climb winds through proper jungle with stretches that are concrete, then sand, then rock and potholes. Riders describe stopping a few times just to look. Reviewers are firm about the vehicle: an automatic 125cc or bigger, or a capable 4x4. A standard car won't make it, and one visitor suggests parking at the Chilling Hill restaurant and walking the last stretch instead.
At the top there's a small scooter parking area run by a single caretaker who sells light refreshments. The view opens across Samui's interior mountains, and it stays quiet in a way the coastal spots never do. Khun Si Waterfall is about ten minutes down a sandy, rocky track from the viewpoint, so wear something on your feet you don't mind ruining.

This place is on the shortcut road between Lamai and Mai Nam. You can get here by bicycle, motorbike or car. I'd recommend an auto 125cc bike or above - my friend struggled with manual gears on this road. Also drive carefully as there are many corners (windy roads) and there is a lot of sand that makes the road slippery. If you are an experienced uphill cyclist, it's a great challenge to take on - prepare for a heart thumping uphill journey and a relaxing sail back down after all the hard work getting up. FYI - there are also some tours that will stop here on the way to other activities in the area. I'd plan 5 to 10 minutes here for a couple of pics and vids.
The location is very beautiful, sadly we got there too late for the sunset. If you go with a scooter, don't drive too fast, because some some parts of the road are only dirt, no asphalt. From the viewpoint you can also go down to the waterfall, takes around 10 minutes.
Stunning and amazing view. A place need to visit once you in Koh Samui. In order to get here. Either use bike or 4x4. Car will not be able to go up.......
