InFusion Cooking Classes
Perched on a hilltop inside a private villa with sweeping views over Koh Samui, InFusion Cooking Classes offers a distinctly elevated take on the cooking class experience. Rather than a standard classroom setup, sessions take place in a beautiful villa environment complete with a pool deck and living area, making the setting as memorable as the food itself. The school follows a Thai soft power accreditation, meaning it meets formal standards for teaching authentic Thai culinary techniques — a detail worth noting for travellers seeking genuine cultural immersion rather than a tourist-oriented introduction. Classes are hands-on and structured around real techniques, with instructors guiding participants through ingredient selection, flavour balancing, and the preparation of multiple dishes from scratch. Many sessions begin with a visit to a local market to source fresh ingredients before heading to the villa kitchen to cook. Instructors speak English fluently and are praised for their patience and depth of knowledge, making the experience accessible for complete beginners and more serious home cooks alike. Good to know: Classes run daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and private sessions are available. Advance booking through the InFusion website is strongly recommended, particularly during peak season. The school is located at Ocean Villa in Bo Put, and its hilltop position means the journey there is part of the experience.

Visitor Reviews
I moved to Samui 4 months ago on a DTV visa and having always loved cooking, I picked InFusion and their culinary program as my soft power choice for the visa. The team was extremely responsive in the planning process, and it was pretty easy: I just needed to pick a start date and enroll in the course, and they did all the "heavy lifting" and paperwork for my to submit to the Royal Consulate in NYC. It is very detailed and I particularly like that each month has a special theme - although you can switch themes around, as all cooking classes are private :-) You always go to the market with Ms. Pick before the class, which is a super fun time, and then come home to a beautiful villa with views of the ocean, where the other team member, Ms. Pla, will help with the prep. Pick speaks very well English and the 3h+ cooking always are so enjoyable. Could not have chosen a better way to learn Thai cooking and get into Koh Samui life with their help for my visa 🙏🏼
On top of the mountain, in a villa overlooking a breathtaking view, I was exposed to the best-kept secrets of the Thai cuisine. Pick, the professional and dedicated chef, shows and explains every vegetable and ingredient, spices up the explanation of the dish with a juicy story and teaches cutting and cooking techniques as she goes. Pla - the smiling sous-chef who makes sure that nothing is missing, that everything is clean, washed and tidy. All under the direction of Stephanie, a source of professional and deep knowledge about Thai cuisine, about the culture and her culinary experiences in Thailand and around the world. I enjoyed the course so very much, I learned a lot, and ate so much! The food was so delicious! 24 dishes in three days, and not a single dish was like the previous one. Everything was varied, colorful, fresh, rich in flavor, made and served with love. I recommend it to any foodie who is intrigued by Thai flavors. Come hungry!
Amazing cooking school with the most talented chefs on the island! The location was perfect and easy to find, breathtaking views from the kitchen, living area and pool deck. My program was for the DTV visa and it couldn’t have been more easy! Stephanie walked me through the whole process, their documentation for DTV program was highly organized and I had my visa a couple weeks after application. My family and I are traveling a bit so infusion have been super flexible on when I Tao classes which helps immensely with juggling a four year old son! Classes are fantastic with an enormous library of recipes/dishes to choose from, I have so far picked all my go to Thai dishes! Highly recommend these ladies as they’re knowledge, techniques and communication is the perfect setting for learning Thai cooking, shopping at the market and understanding Thai techniques.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
