WON DAE SONG
Won Dae Song is a Korean-themed garden and restaurant tucked at the base of a mountain in the Wang Dong area of Kanchanaburi. The setting combines neatly arranged flower beds, walking paths, and decorative backdrops that draw visitors as much for photography as for dining. A small entrance fee of 40 baht per person applies, and the grounds include dedicated areas for renting traditional Korean dress and taking photos, making it a popular stop for those who enjoy culturally themed attractions. The atmosphere is relaxed and visually appealing, with manicured gardens and mountain scenery providing a pleasant contrast to Kanchanaburi's better-known historical sites. Food and beverages are available on-site, though visitors describe the dining as fairly standard rather than a highlight in itself. Most guests spend between one and two hours exploring the outdoor grounds and photo spots before moving on to nearby attractions such as Mallika City, which is roughly a 15-minute drive away. Good to know: The majority of the grounds are outdoors and the area can get quite hot during the day, so visiting in the morning is strongly recommended for comfort. The road leading to the venue is reportedly in poor condition, so travelling by a sturdy vehicle or being prepared for a rough approach is advisable. Closing times appear to be earlier in the afternoon, so arriving well before mid-afternoon ensures enough time to explore fully.

Visitor Reviews
Korean restaurant in a picturesque environment at the bottom of the mountain. The road to the restaurant is very bad, really can use some repairs. Entrance to the restaurant is 40 baht a person, they discount 20 baht on the beverage later. The food was delicious . The restaurant has a beautiful garden with beautiful scenery.
This is a very pleasant and relaxing place to visit, with neatly laid out beds of plants and flowers with paths between them for people to walk around. There are many spectacular views within the gardens, but the best is from the top of the staircase, though unless you have a head for heights you may want to avoid this as there are no handrails to hold on to. There is a large block of toilets which were clean and tidy with handwashing facilities that included soap and a means of drying your hands. There were cafes on the site but these were not open when we visited. There were parts of the gardens which were still being built, or maybe remodelled.
If you are already visiting Mallika city, this is a15 mins drive. A small but nice place - we rented the Korean dress & took pics. We didn’t have time for food & drinks though. The place closes by 6:00 pm but we were there till 6:30. - we lost track of time! The staff were very patient. There flowers were not blooming yet so we took pics with the artificial flowers😅 I just feel the management should make some improvements. Worth visiting for those who loves to take pics!
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
