About Rassada Pier
Rassada Pier (also spelled Ratsada, and signed Rassada Harbour) is Phuket's main ferry terminal, at the end of Tha Rue Mai Road on the east coast, about 3.5 km from Phuket's Old Town. Almost every scheduled boat to Koh Phi Phi leaves from here, as do the ferries and speedboats to Ao Nang and Railay in Krabi, so if your ticket says Phuket and a boat, this is very likely where you're going.
Each operator has its own counter in the terminal, where you swap your booking for a boarding pass, so arrive 30 to 45 minutes before sailing to find yours. The first boats to Phi Phi leave at 08:30, the last big ferry at 15:00 and the last speedboats at 15:30, and boats coming back land into the early evening. The terminal is open from 07:30 to 18:00, and there's no pier fee.
Getting here is the part to plan. From Patong and the west-coast beaches it's about 18 km over the hill, 25 minutes on clear roads and 40 to 45 in the morning, and from the airport about 35 km, 40 to 55 minutes. Many ferry tickets include a shared van from hotels in Patong, Kata, Karon and Phuket Town. The cheapest ride is the pink songthaew from Ranong Road in Phuket Town, which runs past Bus Terminal 1 to the pier from about 06:30 to 20:00 for ฿10–15.

Reviews from Google
Had a very smooth and well-organized experience at Rassada Pier while traveling to Phi Phi Island. We took the Phi Phi Cruiser, and the entire journey was comfortable and enjoyable. The cruise had 3 floors the lower level had an AC cabin, the middle deck was non-AC covered seating, and the top deck was completely open-air. We chose to explore all three levels during the 2-hour journey. The open deck was amazing for enjoying the sea breeze and views, but carrying an umbrella was definitely helpful to protect from the strong morning sun. We departed at 8:30 AM and reached Phi Phi Island around 10:30 AM, right on time. The ride was smooth, and most people were relaxing on the upper deck many were sunbathing and enjoying the scenic views of the Andaman Sea. One of the best parts was that drinks like water, tea, coffee, and even Coke were complimentary, along with some light biscuits. It made the journey even more comfortable. Rassada Pier itself is very easy to navigate. Signboards are clearly marked, and everything is well-organized, so even first-time visitors won’t face confusion. Staff members were helpful, and the boarding process was simple and hassle-free. Overall, a great experience starting from the pier to the cruise journey. If you're planning a trip to Phi Phi Island from Phuket, this is a convenient and comfortable option. Highly recommended!
Phuket pier for going to Phuket. Small but well organized. There is large parking area. Usually they offer package drop in and drop out from the hotel to the harbour with the Phuket to Phi Phi boar package that is good offer.
Disappointing and inflexible customer service by Speedboat Transfer service I booked a speedboat trip on July 28th during a period of officially documented severe weather, including heavy rain warnings. Given that the journey involved traveling across open water by speedboat, I made a reasonable decision not to board because I was concerned about my personal safety. I understand that the booking was made under a non-refundable policy. However, what was most disappointing was that the company repeatedly relied only on the non-refundable terms and did not appear to meaningfully consider the exceptional weather conditions, my documented safety concerns, or the possibility of a reasonable exception. I was not asking for special treatment because I simply changed my plans. I was asking the company to consider the circumstances individually and recognize that passengers cannot reasonably predict severe weather several days in advance. The company never confirm whether the operator conducted and documented a weather and marine safety assessment before departure. The company’s response made me feel that protecting the booking policy was given more attention than addressing a passenger’s legitimate safety concerns. I believe a responsible passenger transport company should be willing to review exceptional weather-related situations with more understanding and flexibility. I hope the company improves its customer service and creates a clearer process for handling safety-related refund requests rather than responding only by repeating “non-refundable. I understand that this booking was non-refundable, but I was extremely disappointed by how the company handled a documented weather-related safety concern. I chose not to board a speedboat traveling across open water because of severe weather warnings, yet the company repeatedly focused only on its non-refundable policy without meaningfully addressing the safety circumstances or considering an exception. This was not a simple change of plans. Passengers cannot reasonably be expected to predict severe weather days in advance or accept a potential safety risk merely to avoid losing the ticket price. The company’s response made me feel that enforcing its policy mattered more than listening to a passenger’s legitimate safety concerns. I hope the company improves its approach to exceptional weather-related cases.

Use Grab Everywhere
Grab is the Uber of Southeast Asia and works across Thailand for cars, motorbike taxis, and even tuk-tuks in some cities. It eliminates haggling and provides fare estimates upfront. Load a Thai SIM or use eSIM to stay connected.
Rent Scooters Carefully
Always photograph the scooter's existing damage before riding off, and keep your passport — give a photocopy instead (some shops insist on the original; avoid these). Wear a helmet; police fine 500 THB for no helmet and accidents without one void insurance.
Get a Rabbit Card for Bangkok
The Rabbit card is Bangkok's reloadable transit card for BTS Skytrain, and it also works at convenience stores and some restaurants. Buy one at any BTS station for 200 THB (100 deposit + 100 credit). It saves time queuing for single-journey tokens.
