Cafe des Amis Fine Dining
Cafe des Amis is one of Pattaya's most celebrated fine dining destinations, offering a sophisticated French-influenced menu built around premium seafood, quality steaks, and carefully crafted Western dishes. The restaurant draws both locals and international visitors seeking a refined alternative to the city's more casual dining scene, and has built a strong reputation for consistently delivering on its upscale promise.
Inside, the atmosphere strikes a balance between elegance and warmth, with a well-stocked bar for pre-dinner drinks and a patio available for those who prefer open-air dining. Service is attentive and professional, with staff frequently praised for their hospitality. The kitchen handles special occasions particularly well, making it a popular choice for birthdays, anniversaries, and celebratory dinners where the full experience matters as much as the food itself.
Cafe des Amis opens exclusively for dinner, from 17:00 each evening, with slightly extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 23:30. Given its reputation and limited dinner-only window, reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends or around public holidays. The price point sits firmly in the upscale range, so visitors should come prepared for a higher spend — though reviewers consistently note the food and service justify the cost. Smart casual dress is a reasonable expectation for the setting.

Reviews from Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can only give this restaurant five stars — and even that feels like an understatement. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants around the world, and this place easily ranks among my personal top ten. Not just because of the food — you can find excellent cuisine in many places — but because of the atmosphere. It’s incredibly warm, welcoming, and relaxed. You feel almost at home, far away from the cold, stiff environments where you feel uncomfortable doing anything “wrong.” The staff deserves special recognition: exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely forthcoming. I had arranged a bouquet of roses for my girlfriend in advance, and everything worked perfectly. What impressed me most was the trust — even though they didn’t know me, everything was prepared smoothly and professionally. If someone is trying to find something negative here, I honestly believe they should first ask themselves whether they are simply looking for a hair in the soup. Of course, when a restaurant is busy, small delays can happen — that’s just reality. I had to wait about two minutes for my companion, but there were enough drinks at the counter, and I certainly didn’t perish. What truly stands out is the feeling that everyone here genuinely wants you to have a great evening. That mindset makes you naturally more understanding if something isn’t 100% perfect on a given night — and honestly, everything ran incredibly well anyway. To top it all off, I had a very special coffee at the end — truly one of a kind and an experience in itself. I can highly recommend it. All in all, for me, this was one of the most beautiful evenings I’ve ever had in a restaurant. An outstanding experience that I would recommend without hesitation.
We had an absolutely wonderful post valentines valentine dinner date with a combined birthday celebration. What an amazing experience from start to finish Pre dinner drinks at the extensively stocked cocktail bar and then seated on a beautifully decorated (with rose petals) table. They had live jazz music which just took the entire evening to a heavenly level From the amuse bouche to the lobster bisque starter, to a melt in your mouth wagyu tenderloin and a beautiful dessert to finish it off This restaurant has long been considered as THE number 1 restaurant in Pattaya and it’s easy to see why. Service was impeccable. I can’t wait to return for another special evening. Thank you to everyone there for making our evening so very special indeed
Best experience ever! This restaurant deserves a Michelin star. We received a very warm welcome and the staff were extremely friendly. Delicious dishes and drinks.. highly recommended.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
