Sophon Food Market โต้รุ่งตลาดโสภณ
Sophon Food Market is an open-air food court on Pattaya Sai 3 that has grown considerably in recent years, adding new vendors and expanded seating to accommodate a loyal crowd of locals and curious travellers. The market draws visitors with its wide selection of Thai street food at genuine local prices, with standout options including grilled chicken and, for the more adventurous, crocodile meat — not something found at every market in the region. The atmosphere is casual and communal, with seating available near individual stalls and a clean environment that sets it apart from more chaotic street food settings. Most vendors do not speak English, but ordering is manageable through pointing and translation apps. Drink stalls are also on-site, making it easy to put together a full meal without leaving the market grounds. Parking is available along the back side of the market. Good to know: The market opens at 3 PM and runs until 2 AM every day of the week, making it a reliable option for both early dinners and late-night eating. Cash is strongly recommended, as many vendors are unlikely to accept card payments. The venue tends to be busiest and most atmospheric during the early evening hours, but its extended hours make it a practical choice whenever hunger strikes.

Visitor Reviews
This is a great little growing market. It has changed a lot in the last year or so. Many new shops and lots of seating added. There is also parking along the back side. The market has several drink shops along with Pad Thai, grilled fish and meat products. Overall very happy with this little market. A great place to stop in the evening if you are looking for a snack or going home from work.
Very nice place to satisfy your taste buds. Very good and clean food. Especially chicken items and crocodile meat. Many shops are there. You can get chairs to sit near the shops. Limited parking available. You can reach there by Tuk Tuk. You can spend around two hours there. If you like this review, please like and comment. Thank you.
Delicious Thai food. Many options to choose from. Most vendors do not speak English, but between pointing and Google translate, there are never issues in ordering what you want. Every person I have met here is also very kind in helping a falang.

Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
