Cindy Bar
Cindy Bar is a casual, welcoming bar tucked along Soi Baukhao in Pattaya, conveniently located next to the well-known Cheap Charlie restaurant. Run by owners Curt and Cindy, the bar has built a loyal following of regulars thanks to its genuinely warm atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff. With a big screen for entertainment and a music selection that keeps the energy up, it draws both solo visitors and groups looking for a relaxed place to settle in for the evening. Drinks are priced affordably, and regulars report that free food occasionally makes an appearance — a welcome bonus that keeps people coming back. The crowd tends to be multi-cultural and sociable, making it a comfortable spot whether you are meeting friends or striking up a conversation with strangers. The bar maintains a laid-back, unhurried vibe that suits both early evening drinks and late-night sessions. Good to know: the bar appears to keep flexible, generous hours and has a reputation for being reliably open, though it is worth checking locally before heading out late. Its location on Soi Baukhao places it within easy walking distance of Pattaya's broader nightlife strip, making it a natural starting point or wind-down spot for a night out in the area.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
