About Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa
Santhiya is the biggest name on Koh Yao Yai, a large resort climbing the hillside above Loh Pared beach on the island's west coast, facing back across the water toward Phuket. The west-facing position gives it the sunsets the east-coast resorts on Koh Yao Noi miss, and Loh Pared is one of the few beaches on the two islands usually described as swimmable whatever the tide.
Getting here works differently from the rest of the islands. Guests travel on the resort's own shared speedboat from Ao Po Grand Marina on Phuket's northeast coast, a crossing of about 20 minutes, rather than on the public boats from Bang Rong pier. The transfer is mandatory and charged per person, so confirm the current fare and the boat times when you book.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
Location Matters More Than Stars
A well-located 3-star hotel often beats a remote 5-star resort. In Bangkok, staying near a BTS or MRT station saves hours; on islands, proximity to the beach you actually want matters most.
