About Koh Ngai Kaimuk Thong
Kaimuk Thong is a family-run resort in the middle of Koh Ngai's main beach and one of the cheaper beds on an expensive island. The rooms are plain, clean concrete bungalows set around the restaurant and garden, with hammocks on the terraces, and while they make little of the beach frontage, the lawn, the swings and the view do.
The reef here is some of the best for snorkeling straight off the sand, and the massage sala sits right on the beach. Reviewers praise the family who run it and its restaurant, which some rate the best they found on the island, and a few find the rooms tired for the price. It's the place to stay if you want Koh Ngai's beach without the resort prices.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Location Matters More Than Stars
A well-located 3-star hotel often beats a remote 5-star resort. In Bangkok, staying near a BTS or MRT station saves hours; on islands, proximity to the beach you actually want matters most.
