Villa la Flora
Compare prices
Tucked into Tambon Tha Ma Kham in Mueang Kanchanaburi district, Villa la Flora is a villa-style resort that doubles as a café stop for passing visitors. The property is noted for its dark green lawns, garden atmosphere, and distinctive room architecture, and it sits within reach of Kanchanaburi's major drawcards, including the Bridge over the River Kwai, World War II historical sites, waterfalls, and caves. Visitor experiences here are genuinely mixed, which is worth factoring into any booking decision. Guests highlight the appealing café, with hot and cold coffee, frappe, and tea options available at fair prices, along with rooms that are described as well-decorated and comfortable by some. The property is pet-friendly, with at least one guest reporting no extra charge for bringing dogs. Breakfast receives positive mentions, including both rice and American-style options. However, other guests note that the grounds show signs of wear, that some rooms lack basic furniture such as chairs, and that cleanliness in certain areas falls short. Beds have been flagged as uncomfortable by at least one reviewer. Good to know: Villa la Flora is worth considering for travellers who prioritise character and setting over polished facilities, but those with higher expectations for maintenance and comfort may want to weigh the reviews carefully. The property maintains a Facebook page as its primary online presence, so contacting them directly before booking is advisable to confirm current room conditions, rates, and availability, particularly during the dry season peak from November to February.

Visitor Reviews
Cozy accommodation with a beautiful garden. Some staff members were attentive and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and well decorated but not well clean. There was some dust on shelves. In one room that we stayed in, the bad smell came from the toilet drain. Breakfast was good with Boiled rice soup and western breakfast set. It was enough for us. The resort kept the garden and swimming pool clean. Price was reasonable.
Nice cafe, ambiance is fresh. hot coffee, cold coffee, frappe and tea options are available. very beautiful resort is just behind the cafe. dark green lawn is beside the cafe. the theme of cafe and resort is white and blue, which reflects the theme of water and sky. very calm to spend a night or two with family.
The room is clean and beautiful. I brought two dogs at no extra charge. The breakfast was very good — they served boiled rice and an American breakfast.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
