Baan Thai House
Compare prices
Tucked away in a quiet residential setting just outside the historic city of Ayutthaya, Baan Thai House is a boutique resort that combines lush tropical grounds with a genuine sense of seclusion. Flowering gardens, ponds, and traditional Thai-style rooms and villas create an atmosphere that feels a world apart from the busy temple circuit nearby, making it a popular choice for travellers who want to decompress between sightseeing. The resort brings together a solid range of amenities in one place, including a swimming pool, a day spa offering Thai massage, and free loaner bicycles for exploring the surrounding area. Tuk-tuk services can also be arranged on-site, which is particularly useful given the property's peaceful but slightly out-of-the-way location. Staff receive consistent praise from visitors for being warm, attentive, and proactive in helping guests organise transport and day trips. Breakfast is available daily and rooms are noted for being spacious, clean, and well-equipped. Baan Thai House is open every day from 07:30 to 22:00. Given its distance from central Ayutthaya, guests are advised to make use of the bike hire or arrange tuk-tuk transfers through the resort to reach the main temple sites comfortably. Booking in advance is recommended, particularly during Thailand's cooler peak travel season between November and February.

Visitor Reviews
I'm here to pick up my tourists so no comment on the room. The hotel is far so good in term of the location, facilities, swimming pool, spa, massage, bike and Tuk tuk services all in one place as one stop service. Thai traditional style room and some mixed with modern, but well combined. Relaxing area among nature and lotus pond. Beautiful smile and nice hospitality of the staff from the door til the front desk. You can borrow the bike from hotel to visit historical sites by yourself no problem. Good ambiance and nature vibe like at home.
Everything was perfect during my stay. All the staff were super friendly and polite — I loved the warm welcome. The room was cozy with all the essentials provided, and the landscape of the entire property was spectacular. The gardens and plants were very well maintained by the gardeners — I loved it so much; it felt like nature therapy. The swimming pool had a good depth, which made it fun for swimming. Every angle of this place was perfect — I would give it a full score.
Real cosy place. Beautiful grounds with lots of flowers and ponds. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The swimmingpool is great. The staff is AWESOME! They make you feel right at home and pay everyone special attention. So i forgot my swimming trunks - a super helpfull staff member showed up at the Ayuthaya station to get them back to me. That level of hospitality makes my day!

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
