Ko Larn - Nual Beach

Nual Beach sits on the southern side of Ko Larn island, a short ferry ride from Pattaya, and stands out among the island's beaches for its noticeably cleaner sand and clearer water. Compared to the busier Tawaen Beach, it draws a quieter crowd and offers a more relaxed setting, with a backdrop of jungle hillside that is home to a resident monkey colony. The beach is open daily from 6am to 8pm, giving early risers the chance to arrive before the crowds and experience something close to a private stretch of coastline. Visitors can rent sunbeds for around 100 Baht, and food vendors are available on the beach. The water is generally clear, though reviewers note stronger currents and more wave activity than at other nearby beaches, so swimmers should exercise some caution. Snorkelling was historically a draw here, but recent visitors have noted significant coral decline and a large sea urchin presence in the water, so expectations around marine life should be adjusted accordingly. For the best experience, arriving early on a weekday is recommended, as the beach is at its quietest and most scenic in the morning hours. Note that while sunbed rental is reasonably priced, other goods and services on the beach tend to run slightly more expensive than elsewhere on the island. Toilet facilities are available but reported to be in poor condition, so plan accordingly.
