Maricilla Beach

Maricilla Beach is a well-regarded stretch of coastline on Koh Lipe, a small island in the Satun Province of southern Thailand, close to the border with Malaysia. Part of the broader Ko Tarutao National Marine Park area, the beach benefits from relatively protected waters and the natural beauty that has made Koh Lipe one of Thailand's more sought-after island destinations in recent years. Visitors can expect clear, calm water and a quieter, more laid-back atmosphere compared to the island's busier main beaches. As a practical note, Koh Lipe and the surrounding national park area is seasonal. The island is generally accessible and at its best between November and April, when seas are calm and skies are clear. Outside of this window, rough weather from the southwest monsoon can make boat access difficult and some businesses close entirely. Visitors travelling during peak season should arrange accommodation on Koh Lipe in advance, as options are limited and fill quickly.
