เกาะกละ (Kla Island)

Kla Island is a small, largely uninhabited island located in the waters near Koh Lipe, within the Mu Ko Tarutao National Park area of Satun Province in southern Thailand. Its remote setting and limited development have allowed it to retain a natural character that draws travellers seeking refuge from busier island destinations in the region. Visitors can expect clear, calm waters ideal for snorkelling and swimming, with coral reefs and marine life accessible close to shore. The island is known for its quiet atmosphere, white sandy shoreline, and the kind of undisturbed scenery that has become increasingly rare in popular Thai island destinations. It is best explored as a day trip, typically reached by longtail boat or as part of a snorkelling tour departing from Koh Lipe. As Kla Island falls within a protected national park zone, visitors should be prepared to pay the applicable national park entry fee upon arrival. There are no permanent facilities on the island, so travellers are advised to bring their own water, snacks, and sun protection. The best conditions for visiting are during the dry season, roughly November through April, when seas are calmer and visibility for snorkelling is at its clearest. Outside of this window, rough seas can make access difficult or unsafe.
