Why go, and how to do it well
Mango Viewpoint sits on the hill above Mango Bay, Ao Mamuang, at the northern tip of Koh Tao, looking down on the bay's reef and out over the Gulf. It's one of the island's sunset spots, and the walk up from Sairee takes about 40 minutes to an hour, most of it uphill.
I'd time it for the last hour of light and walk down while there's still some dusk left, or arrange a ride, because the roads up here are steep and rough. The bay below is easiest by boat, so most people visit the two on different days.
