Kovani Samui
Kovani Samui is a relaxed café and dessert stop in the Ang Thong area of Koh Samui, conveniently located along the route to Nathon. It draws families and passing travellers alike with its combination of frozen yogurt, light meals, and a genuinely impressive outdoor playground built from natural materials — featuring a treehouse, obstacle courses, and climbing structures that give children plenty of room to explore. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with bean bags for lounging and staff who are consistently praised for their warmth and attentiveness. The frozen yogurt is the standout offering, available with a range of toppings including fresh fruit, berry powders, and superfoods like goji berries and blueberries. Light meals such as sandwiches are also on the menu, and the team is happy to help guests navigate dietary requirements, including egg-free options. Kovani Samui is open Tuesday through Sunday from 09:00 to 18:00, making it a practical daytime stop rather than an evening destination. It is particularly well-suited for families with young children who need a break from the road. No website is listed, so visitors are best advised to stop in directly rather than trying to plan ahead. Given the outdoor playground, the experience is most enjoyable in dry weather.

Visitor Reviews
Lovely wee cafe, bean bags to have a drink on. The lady was so lovely, couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious aswell, was hoping to try the frozen Yoghurt but I was so stuffed after my sandwich and milkshake. Air conditioning was lovely too. Cafe was so clean and there was loads on the menu to try. 🥰
Such a great spot for families! Has yummy frozen yogurt and a fun play area to keep kids entertained. The vibe is relaxed and cozy, and the staff is super friendly. Perfect for grabbing a quick treat or hanging out for a bit while the kids play. Definitely worth a stop if you’re around Koh Samui!
Friendly staff and helped us explain what we could have as we do not eat eggs. I had the frozen yoghurt with berry powder with mango, goji berries and blueberries- it tasted so good! Definitely a nice place to stop off whilst we went around the island in our car rental.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
