Pandan Small Longtail Boat Tour (Reservation Only)

4.6(101 reviews)

Operating from the Thanon Wutthakat area near the BTS station in Thon Buri, this reservation-only longtail boat tour offers small-group and private canal experiences through some of Bangkok's quieter waterways. Tours take in a range of stops including orchid farms, riverside temples, floating markets, and local stilt-house communities, with wildlife such as monitor lizards frequently spotted along the way. The intimate format means guides can tailor routes to group interests, and the pace stays relaxed rather than rushed. The experience draws consistently positive responses from visitors who describe it as one of the more memorable ways to spend time in Bangkok. Guides — several of whom are mentioned by name in visitor feedback — are noted for their warmth, local knowledge, and ability to bring context to the communities and landmarks along the route. The contrast between the calm canal network and the city's busy streets is a recurring theme, with families, couples, and solo travellers all finding the format well-suited to their needs. Good to know: Booking in advance is essential, as this operator does not accommodate walk-ins. Private tours are available and recommended for those who want the boat exclusively to themselves. When confirming a reservation, it is worth clarifying the exact meeting point and departure time, as the pickup location is near — but not directly at — the BTS station. Early morning departures are generally advisable to experience the most active canal atmosphere and avoid the heat of the day. Wear light, comfortable clothing and bring sun protection, as shade on board is limited.

Visitor Reviews

My family and I had an amazing day in Bangkok thanks to Nui, who guided us through the temples and the floating market with warmth, insight, and incredible energy. From the moment we met her, it felt like we were exploring the city with a friend. Her explanations were always clear, interesting, and full of fascinating details that gave so much meaning to the places we visited. Beyond being a knowledgeable guide, Nui is simply fun to talk to. She has such a lovely presence—always smiling, always attentive—and she made everyone in our family feel comfortable and welcome. Traveling by boat between locations made the day even more special, and Nui made sure every stop was enjoyable and memorable. We’re truly grateful for the experience and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to explore Bangkok in a meaningful and joyful way. Thank you so much, Nui—you were absolutely amazing! 🌸

Amazing tour! Definitely one of the best things we did in Bangkok maybe even the best! We did the weekday morning private tour and you cover so much without it feeling rushed. Our tour guide Champ was brilliant. His English was very good and he was very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions. If you want to get away from the busyness of Bangkok for a while and do something a bit more chill but plenty exciting then I highly recommend this. It would be good for individuals, couples, families, or groups.

A really great tour! I recommend to book a private tour, so you have the boat for yourself. Ask for the guide Nathalie. She is so kind and very knowledgeable. She told us al lot about the places we visited and the Thai culture in general. She also took a lot of photos from us so that we have great memories of the trip.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
