Bang Khun Thian Viewpoint

This is a must go place if you are cycling or walking at the Rak Thale Bangkhunthian Bridge. Bicycles can be rented at the start of the bridge at 40 Baht per bicycle for the entire day. Cycle along the Rak Thale bangkhunthian bridge and follow on to this Bang Kun Thian Viewpoint... it's like the feeling of going to the end of the path to the water! Some what like to the "Southernmost point " of the place in other countries I have been. It's really nice here. Best capturing the sunset. Leave your bicycle at the end point and walk along the sides for nice views and photos. Watch the birds at the mangroves. Recommend coming here near sunset to get some great shots of this place. There's an ice cream man selling ice cream and tried 1 there. I didn't like the flavour I bought but it was great having an ice cream at this place! The uncle kept the place clean, making sure we did not throw the wrappers elsewhere and place them into his little bin.

Visited during public holiday. It was quite a handful of crowds. It was very lovely. Highly recommend. We rode a motorbike into the park. The beach is very beautiful and there is an old man selling ice cream for cheap price. The breeze is very nice and good scenery.

Bang Khun Thian: Bang Khun Thian is the only seaside area in Bangkok, and it really feels different from the rest of the city. The long flat bike path through the mangrove trees, the soft sea breeze, and small local restaurants with fresh seafood make the place calm and relaxing. It’s a great spot if you want a short break from the busy city. I strongly recommend visiting early in the morning during sunrise or in the late afternoon before sunset. The light is beautiful, the weather is cooler, and the whole area looks much more peaceful at those times. My experience there was very enjoyable. We rented simple bicycles and followed the path all the way to a small old wooden pier. The cool wind, the smell of the sea, and the orange sky created a perfect moment. I’m not someone who usually takes photos, but the sunset was so beautiful that I couldn’t stop myself from taking a picture. I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 because some parts of the bike path are rough, facilities are limited, and transportation can be difficult—especially when it gets late. We waited a long time for a ride back and finally returned on a very old bus. Even though it wasn’t convenient, it still added a funny memory to the day. Overall, Bang Khun Thian is simple but special. It gives you quiet moments you want to keep, and it’s definitely worth visiting if you need a peaceful escape from Bangkok.
