Koh Nangyuan Resort

Koh Nangyuan Resort is the only place to stay on Koh Nang Yuan, the three small islands joined by sandbars a short boat ride off Koh Tao's northwest coast. By day the sandbar and the viewpoint are packed with day-trippers. Once the tour boats leave in the late afternoon, guests have the islands nearly to themselves.

Rooms run from simple bungalows in the trees to beachfront bungalows, a family suite and a pool villa. There's a dive center, the Triple Beaches View restaurant and a beach bar on the sand, and the reef for snorkeling is a few steps from the rooms. Reviewers love the evenings and the early mornings, and a few say the room they were given wasn't the category they had booked, so confirm a beachfront room if that's what you're paying for.

The resort's boats run from Sairee Beach, so check the crossing times when you book. Day visitors pay a ฿250 landing fee and plastic bottles aren't allowed on the island.
