Compare prices
Phowadol Resort sits in the Rim Kok area of Chiang Rai, offering a nature-surrounded retreat of woodsy-chic rooms, suites, and cottages set within a sprawling, low-key complex. The resort's peaceful, open atmosphere appeals to travellers looking to unwind away from the city buzz, with lush greenery framing the outdoor pool and generous space throughout the grounds. Guests consistently highlight the quality of the breakfast and the warmth of the staff as standout experiences during their stay. The resort has an older character that some visitors find charming and quirky, while others note that certain fixtures and furnishings show their age and are due for updating. Rooms are described as clean, spacious, and quiet, making it a comfortable base for exploring northern Thailand. The pool area is tranquil, though poolside bar service is limited, so guests should not expect a buzzing resort atmosphere. Practically speaking, the property is approximately a 30-minute walk from downtown Chiang Rai, so having transport arranged is advisable, particularly for evening outings. Reception and facilities operate daily from 06:00 to 22:00. Given the resort's generous space and relaxed pace, it suits couples or solo travellers who prioritise comfort and value over a full-service resort experience. Booking directly through the resort's website may offer the best available rates.

Visitor Reviews
With the price offer by the resort. Not much to conplain. I found it worth for money. The room is clean, spacious and quite. I informed the resort I will check in very late on 11th August 2025 as we flying from Kuala Lumpur to Chiang Mai, then by van to Chiang Rai. To my surprise, the reception staff are waiting for our check in. And it go smoothly. As for location, not far from town. For me very strategic location. Surely will come again.
Beautiful hotel/resort. Don't listen to all the negative reviews from entitled individuals. Well worth the money, such a beautiful location that is surrounded by nature too! Staff were extremely polite and helpful which is muchly appreciated. 🙏
Rates 5s due to the value for money. Staff very friendly. Older complex that is due for renovation. Mattress comfortable but ready for replacement. 30 minute walk to downtown. Excellent breakfast. Will stay again
