ปางช้างเขาชีจรรย์ Khaocheechan elephant village
Situated in Na Chom Thian within Sattahip District, this elephant village offers visitors a hands-on wildlife experience combining elephant rides, feeding sessions, and close encounters with resident crocodiles — including notable residents Momo and Mimi. The park draws families, couples, and solo travellers looking for an accessible and affordable alternative to larger commercial wildlife attractions in the Pattaya region, with visitors consistently noting the calm, well-maintained grounds and the friendly, attentive staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and quietly scenic rather than heavily commercialised. Elephants are described by visitors as friendly and well cared for, and the site maintains clean facilities with ample parking. The experience feels genuinely community-rooted, and the relatively low entry price — with promotional rates occasionally available — makes it an accessible option for budget-conscious travellers seeking meaningful animal interaction. Rescued elephants are part of the resident population, adding a conservation dimension to the visit. Good to know: The village opens daily from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, accommodating both half-day and full-day visits. It is located approximately 30 to 40 minutes from central Pattaya, so arranging private transport or joining a local tour is advisable. Wear comfortable clothing you do not mind getting dirty, and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Pricing is not listed online, so contacting the venue directly or booking through a local tour operator is the best way to confirm current rates and availability before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
I traveled on 1 July 2025, going with my Thai and Chinese friends. When I saw here first time, it was pleasant and quiet. The entrance price was very cheap, I recieve special promotion 300 Baht, which included food for feeding crocodiles, food for feeding elephants, and one elephant ride. Mostly, foreigners search for other places where the price is higher than here. They don't know much about this place, but it's a fair and reasonable price. My impression is that they raise all elephants well, not for sale or cruelty, and they are very high class of elephant camp.
I highly recommend visiting this place. We had so much fun! We went as a family, rode on the slopes, fed the elephants and crocodiles. The biggest crocodile was Momo, and his wife was Mimi :) The elephant’s name was Chomtu. The elephants are well-cared for and healthy. A park employee told us that they are looked after by a vet and live long lives. The staff is very friendly. Thank you so much! We’ll definitely come back again!
Great experience! The elephants are calm and well cared for, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The ride was smooth, the scenery was beautiful, and the entire place felt safe and organized. A fun and memorable activity near Khao Chi Chan.

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
