CORAL ISLAND PATTAYA BEACH VIEW POINT
Perched on Koh Larn, a short speedboat ride from the Pattaya mainland, this elevated viewpoint draws day-trippers seeking a cleaner, quieter alternative to the city's busier shores. The vantage point looks out across the island's beaches and open coastal waters, where the colour of the sea on a clear day is a genuine highlight. Speedboats, parasailing rigs, and beach activity visible from above give a lively sense of the island's energy, while the surrounding scenery rewards both photographers and those simply looking to take in the view. Beyond the viewpoint itself, Koh Larn offers a well-rounded day out. Visitors typically combine the stop with swimming, banana boat rides, parasailing, and sea walks, with activities reported to be well organised and accessible. The island's atmosphere is noticeably more relaxed than the mainland, making it a practical choice for travellers who want beach time without the crowds of central Pattaya. Good to know: The dry season, running from November through February, brings the calmest seas and clearest water visibility. Arriving earlier in the day helps avoid peak crowds and allows time to explore more of the island. Speedboats offer the fastest crossing from Pattaya Beach. Shade on the island is limited, so sun protection is strongly recommended.

Visitor Reviews
Koh Larn (Coral Island) is a fantastic day trip from Pattaya and absolutely worth it. The water is clean, calm, and a stunning turquoise colour, perfect for swimming or simply relaxing on the beach. Getting there is easy. You can hire a speedboat for your group, which costs around 2,500–3,500 THB and takes about 40 minutes - fast and convenient. Alternatively, you can join a larger boat, which is cheaper but can take up to 2 hours, so it really depends on your budget and time. There are plenty of water sports activities available if you’re feeling adventurous, or you can just enjoy the sunshine and peaceful beach atmosphere. The island is well set up for visitors, with lots of restaurants and beachside cafés. Many offer bathroom access for around 50 THB, and some provide free toilet use if you take a seat and order food or drinks. Overall, it was a great experience - beautiful scenery, clear water, and a relaxed island vibe. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Pattaya and want a proper beach escape without travelling too far.
Coral Island, also known as Koh Larn, is a perfect escape from the busy streets of Pattaya. Just a short speedboat ride away, the island welcomes you with crystal-clear turquoise water, white sandy beaches, and a relaxed tropical vibe. The island is well known for its water activities like parasailing, jet skiing, banana boat rides, snorkeling, and sea walking. The water is surprisingly clear, especially in the morning, making it great for swimming and photos. Beaches like Tawaen Beach and Samae Beach are lively yet scenic, with plenty of beach chairs and cafés. Food options are decent—fresh seafood, Thai meals, and Indian food are available. The atmosphere is touristy but still refreshing compared to mainland Pattaya. Best time to visit: Morning (9 AM–1 PM) Good for: Couples, friends, first-time Pattaya visitors Not ideal for: People expecting a secluded, untouched island Overall: A beautiful half-day trip with clear water, fun activities, and classic beach vibes—Coral Island is definitely worth visiting while in Pattaya.
Coral Island was such a fun and refreshing experience! 💙🌊 The water is so clear and blue, and the views are absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect place to relax by the beach and click some beautiful pictures. One of the best things is that you can rent a **scooty for 1 or 2 hours** and explore the island on your own. We rode around and even visited some small temples nearby, which made the trip feel more special and peaceful. There are also **plenty of activities** like parasailing, snorkeling, banana boat rides, etc. If you book an online package, it usually includes multiple activities, which makes it super convenient and worth it. The food options were also surprisingly good – nice beachside spots to enjoy a proper meal after all the fun. Overall, Coral Island is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, good food, and scenic beauty. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Thailand! 🌴✨

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
