CORAL ISLAND PATTAYA BEACH VIEW POINT

4.6(3,897 reviews)

This is a viewpoint, not a destination, and it's worth being clear about that before you build a day around it. You pull up, you look down over the beaches and open water, you take your photos, you move on. On a clear day the colour of the sea does the heavy lifting, and there's constant movement below you: speedboats cutting across, parasail canopies going up, the beach churning away. There are no proper facilities up here. Fifteen minutes is plenty.

Nearly everyone arrives as part of a Koh Larn tour, which means it gets busy at peak hours and quiet either side. My advice is to treat the stop as the punctuation in a longer island day. Renting a scooter for an hour or two lets you reach the smaller temples and quieter corners at your own pace, which beats being shuttled between the same three beaches.

Reviews from Google

Koh Larn (Coral Island) is a fantastic day trip from Pattaya and absolutely worth it. The water is clean, calm, and a stunning turquoise colour, perfect for swimming or simply relaxing on the beach. Getting there is easy. You can hire a speedboat for your group, which costs around 2,500–3,500 THB and takes about 40 minutes - fast and convenient. Alternatively, you can join a larger boat, which is cheaper but can take up to 2 hours, so it really depends on your budget and time. There are plenty of water sports activities available if you’re feeling adventurous, or you can just enjoy the sunshine and peaceful beach atmosphere. The island is well set up for visitors, with lots of restaurants and beachside cafés. Many offer bathroom access for around 50 THB, and some provide free toilet use if you take a seat and order food or drinks. Overall, it was a great experience - beautiful scenery, clear water, and a relaxed island vibe. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Pattaya and want a proper beach escape without travelling too far.

Coral Island was such a fun and refreshing experience! 💙🌊 The water is so clear and blue, and the views are absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect place to relax by the beach and click some beautiful pictures. One of the best things is that you can rent a **scooty for 1 or 2 hours** and explore the island on your own. We rode around and even visited some small temples nearby, which made the trip feel more special and peaceful. There are also **plenty of activities** like parasailing, snorkeling, banana boat rides, etc. If you book an online package, it usually includes multiple activities, which makes it super convenient and worth it. The food options were also surprisingly good – nice beachside spots to enjoy a proper meal after all the fun. Overall, Coral Island is a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, good food, and scenic beauty. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Thailand! 🌴✨

Easily, a full day can be spent here. We reached around 1:00 pm and then took a speedboat to Coral Island. We enjoyed parasailing, sea walk, and banana boat rides. The activities were well organised and fun. The evening time was especially pleasant, relaxing by the shore with cool weather and a nice sea breeze. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. ⚠️Beware : For jet skiing take photos and videos before taking the ride . Else they may charge you claiming of damage.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours

Vet Elephant Sanctuaries

Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.

Book Popular Activities Online

Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.

Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning

Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
