Tawaen Beach Lookout
Perched above one of Koh Larn island's most popular stretches of sand, this elevated lookout point delivers sweeping panoramic views over Tawaen Beach and the surrounding coastline. The climb is steep on both sides, but the reward at the top is an expansive perspective that puts the beach's turquoise waters and shoreline into full view — something few visitors experience from ground level alone. The site is a straightforward natural attraction rather than a developed facility, drawing travellers who want a few quiet minutes of landscape appreciation away from the beach crowd below. Those arriving by rented motorbike will find parking available at the top, making it an accessible stop for island explorers. The viewpoint suits both solo travellers and small groups looking to add a scenic detour to a day trip on Koh Larn. One practical consideration worth noting: the sun exposure at the top can be intense, particularly during midday hours on a typical day visit to the island. Visitors who reviewed the site suggest the morning window — roughly 8am to 12pm — offers the most comfortable conditions, with December through January considered a favourable period to visit. Arriving earlier in the day allows for better light and a more pleasant experience before the heat builds. No formal opening hours have been confirmed, and there is no ticketing or official website associated with the site.

Visitor Reviews
This viewpoint is absolutely stunning, offering panoramic views from up above the Tawaen beach. The best part is that there's plenty of parking available right here for our rented bikes, so we can take our time enjoying the scenery and feeling the gentle breeze.
Very nice to create Memories at here. Recommend time - 8am to 12pm. Month- December to January Models - MyaNanSan , Tony , Aye Photographer- Ko AK (Wyne Nay) Shot by iPhone XsMax /portrait mode
Nice Viewpoint - it goes straight up from both sides but the view of the Tawaen Beach is worth the effort. Otherwise you can drive easily via Motorbike and park it there.
Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
