Blue Planet Divers Koh Lanta
Situated on Koh Lanta in the Krabi region, this well-established diving and freediving centre offers guided scuba dives, certification courses, freediving programmes, and snorkelling trips to some of the Andaman Sea's most rewarding underwater sites, including the reefs and rocky formations of Koh Haa. The centre caters to all experience levels, from complete beginners taking their first breaths underwater to experienced divers exploring deeper sites with knowledgeable guides. What sets the centre apart, according to consistent visitor feedback, is the quality of its instructors and divemasters. Guides are frequently singled out by name for their patience with anxious or first-time divers, their calm handling of in-water moments of uncertainty, and their ability to keep group bookings relaxed and well-coordinated. The overall atmosphere leans into Koh Lanta's unhurried island character while maintaining a clearly professional approach to safety and organisation. Snorkelling trips are available for those who prefer to stay near the surface, and the centre is open every day from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, giving visitors flexibility when planning around other island activities. Good to know: the dry season, running roughly from November through April, brings the clearest visibility and calmest sea conditions around Koh Lanta, making it the most popular period for diving. Advance booking is strongly advisable during these months. Prospective visitors can find current course options, dive site information, and pricing at the centre's website before arrival.

Reviews from Google
Had an excellent diving experience with Blue Planet Divers in Koh Lanta. We were a group of six friends, and the team handled everything seamlessly, making the day feel relaxed, fun, and well coordinated. Instructors Ben and Joel were incredibly nice, patient, and reassuring, which made the whole experience feel safe and stress free. The vibe on the boat was very chill, with clear and detailed briefings before every dive. Equipment was well maintained, food on the boat was good, and overall service felt thoughtful throughout the day. A special mention for how accommodating they were with different comfort levels. They allow snorkeling as well and even provide a separate instructor for snorkelers, which is quite rare and genuinely thoughtful. Two of our friends wanted to snorkel and relax together instead of diving, and this made it possible for the entire group to enjoy the day without splitting plans. Dive sites were beautiful, timings were well managed, and the crew genuinely cared about everyone’s comfort and experience. Highly recommend Blue Planet Divers whether you are a beginner, experienced diver, or part of a mixed group with divers and snorkelers.
Amazing experience.I did 6 dives in 2 days. The first day with Jane — she was so sweet and patient, and she made me feel very safe in the water. The second time I dived with Mirka, who took extra time to help me improve my buoyancy, and I’m so grateful to her because I learned a lot in a very short time. The boats are big and comfortable, with breakfast, lunch, and snacks between every dive. The equipment is top quality. Jiva at reception was amazing, explaining everything to me, and Matt the photographer is just great. The dive sites are beautiful — we saw blacktip sharks, a leopard shark, and so much incredible marine life. Thank you so much — I will definitely be back!
Amazing full-day snorkeling trip in Koh Haa, our best snorkeling experience so far. Wonderful undersea landscapes, but it was our great guide Pedro that really made it an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely repeat!! 🙂 Maybe Koh Bida... 😉 Update: next day in Koh Bida has also been amazing. Thanks for everything 🦈 🐠🐟🪸 ❤️

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
