MY CHEFS HOUSE
Tucked away on Porn Prapa Nimit Soi 17 on Pattaya's quieter "Darkside," My Chefs House is a small, personal restaurant where the quality of cooking is clearly the main event. Led by Chef Morton, the kitchen produces thoughtfully prepared European-style dishes using quality ingredients, with standout options including beef cheeks in bourguignon sauce and Denver steak. Visitors consistently praise both the creativity and the execution, noting that each dish is prepared with genuine care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a host and staff that make guests feel genuinely at home rather than simply served. The experience feels more like dining at a private residence than a conventional restaurant, which appears to be very much the point. The venue has hosted everything from regular weeknight dinners to special occasions such as Christmas dinner, handling both with equal attentiveness. Good to know: My Chefs House keeps limited hours, opening at 17:00 on weekdays (Tuesday through Friday) and from 12:00 on weekends, closing at 21:00 each evening. Monday is the only closed day. Given the small, intimate nature of the venue, booking ahead is strongly advisable, particularly for weekend lunches or special occasions. The Facebook page listed on the website is the best place to check for updates or to make contact before visiting.

Visitor Reviews
Had an excellent lunch at My Chef’s House on the Dark Side and wanted to share. From start to finish the whole experience was superb. The host and the staff were genuinely lovely and made us feel very welcome. After the meal, Morton came over to talk to us and we had a great chat about the food, flavours and what makes this place special to me. For lunch I chose the ribeye, and it was as good as anything I’ve had in Pattaya. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and full of flavour — exactly what you want from a great steak. My wife had the scallops and asparagus salad. She is not easily impressed (with falang food), yet she was absolutely over the moon with her dish. The scallops were delicate and tender, paired with fresh asparagus and greens that made for a wonderfully balanced plate. She loved every bite. The total came to 1,620 baht all-inclusive, with my wife having two fresh orange juices, and me enjoying a Coke and a Singha. This was our first visit and it certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommend My Chef’s House on the Dark Side if you’re looking for thoughtful, delicious lunch and warm hospitality. Photos below so you can see what we’re talking about. Complimentary bread with a dip come out first.
No surprise google rating is 5.0. We came already several times and Chef Morton never disappoints. This time I tried the Denver Steak. The steak turned out to be a real highlight — tender, juicy, and full of rich beef flavor. Cooked perfectly to medium-rare, it had a beautiful sear on the outside while staying buttery soft inside. The roasted vegetables were a great complement! Simple, well-executed, and satisfying. A beautifully balanced plate where quality ingredients and proper cooking shine through. A must-try for steak lovers who appreciate flavor without fuss. And all reasonable priced!
MY CHEFS HOUSE – Pattaya Darkside Absolutely impressive! We were honestly blown away by what the chefs are creating here. 👨🍳🔥 Every dish is prepared with care, creativity, and top-quality ingredients – you can feel the passion behind the food. The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish, and the service is genuinely friendly and attentive. It’s one of those places where you instantly know: these guys love what they do. Definitely a top recommendation and already a candidate for the KOLBMASTER LIST. 😎 If you’re into great food and real craftsmanship – this spot is a must-try in Pattaya.

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Learn the Spice Scale
Say 'mai pet' for no spice, 'pet nit noi' for a little spice, or 'pet mak' if you want it Thai-hot. Most cooks will default to a toned-down version for foreigners unless you specify otherwise.
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
