This unpretentious Thai restaurant in Tambon Pak Phraek has earned Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition for two consecutive years, a notable achievement that reflects both the quality of its cooking and its commitment to keeping prices accessible. The kitchen specialises in authentic, locally rooted Thai cuisine with a focus on fresh ingredients, drawing visitors and locals alike who are seeking genuine regional flavours rather than tourist-oriented fare.
The standout dish is the Masang set, a traditional spread featuring blanched vegetables and fish served with a spicy dipping sauce alongside deep-fried fermented pork and freshwater fish curry. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with air conditioning available inside and ample parking outside. Staff are consistently noted for being warm and approachable, and the restaurant comfortably accommodates groups of varying sizes.
Opening hours run from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekdays, with earlier 8:00 AM openings on Saturday and Sunday. There is no online booking system, so arriving early in a meal service window is advisable during peak periods or weekends. The restaurant is conveniently located within Mueang Kanchanaburi, making it a practical dining stop whether passing through the area or staying in the province. No website is available, so plan your visit based on the listed hours.

Reviews from Google
Superb creation of Thai Dishes. We ordered Masaeng (blanch vegetable and fish with Spicy dip), deep fried fermented pork and a fresh water fish in curry. The Masaeng is our favourite, exquisite spicy dip with rolling flavours upon flavours. Clean yet totally complex. Aroi mak. Service is also amazing and quick. We were served by the owner I guessed, who spoke eloquent English and with such joyful disposition. Pipe in music is yet another high point of this place. If you are down in Kanchanaburi visiting River Kwai Bridge or the Safari, this is a must stop over. You be delighted. A big tick for me after 7 years of Thai Food. ♥️♥️♥️

Tips for Visiting Restaurants & Food
Follow the Crowds
The busiest street stalls are almost always the best — high turnover means fresh ingredients and a recipe that locals vouch for. An empty restaurant at dinner time is a red flag.
Ice Is Safe
Factory-made tube or cylinder ice (used in virtually all restaurants and stalls) is made from purified water and is safe to consume. You don't need to skip the iced Thai tea.
Use Grab for Delivery
The Grab app works for food delivery across Thailand, letting you order from street stalls and restaurants alike. It's invaluable on rainy days or when you want to eat in your hotel.
