This is where you go when the hotel minibar prices have started to annoy you. It's a working supermarket in Khuekkhak, aimed at people who actually live in Khao Lak, and that's exactly why it's useful to visitors. Groceries, household bits, snacks, drinks, toiletries. Nothing dressed up.

If you've booked a villa or an apartment with a kitchen, this is your first stop after you drop the bags. Same goes if you're on a longer stay and want breakfast in the room instead of paying resort rates for it every morning. You'll find local products alongside the familiar imported packaged stuff, so you can cover both a curry night in and a jar of something recognizable for the kids. I wouldn't come here looking for an experience or a souvenir. Come with a list, fill a basket, get out.
