Wareerak Hot Spring & Wellness

4.2(518 reviews)

Tucked into the lush landscape of Khlong Thom district, this hot spring and wellness retreat offers something increasingly rare: genuinely hot thermal pools in a natural, unhurried setting. Notably close to Krabi Airport — around 30 minutes — the grounds feel far more remote than the drive suggests, with well-tended but unpretentious surroundings that lean into the natural environment rather than competing with it. The facility operates as both a resort and a day-visit destination, meaning travellers do not need to book an overnight stay to access the hot spring pools, making it a flexible stop on a broader Krabi itinerary.

The thermal pools vary in temperature, which visitors with young children have found particularly practical, and the site includes a dining room serving evening meals at honest prices. Wellness treatments such as massage are also available on-site. The atmosphere is peaceful and low-key rather than resort-polished, which suits those looking for a restorative experience over a commercial one.

This place is incredible!!! It’s only ~30m away from Krabi Airport, but the setting feels so remote and natural. The grounds aren’t overly manicured, but well cared-for. The hot spring pools are really as beautiful as they look in the photos and so delightful to relax in and around. The food at the restaurant is good. Service is extremely warm and helpful. It’s not too large, so doesn’t feel crowded. Despite being there in the high season, I often had the hot springs to myself. My spa services were only so-so (very polite, but a light touch for both and they don’t have beds with holes for your head, so they’re a little less comfortable). I still had a wonderful stay overall.

We came for three nights with our baby and had the most wonderful time! The hot springs are gorgeous and surprisingly baby friendly as there’s a range of temperatures. The setting is natural and peaceful. Food was incredible, and the staff are so kind and helpful. We intended to explore the area but ended up never leaving the resort because we were so happy to be there! A highlight of our travels.

This place looks amazing from the pictures. However I couldn’t really recommend it. We wanted to buy 1 hour of hot springs spa. The lady at the reception wasn’t really paying attention to us. For the price you pay here you would expect the bare minimum of a service. You won’t get a towel nor explanation how it works over here. There are like 3 temperature levels of the springs. Hot, medium hot and freaking hot. The “cold” spring (I call it hot) is 27°C. There are signs you shouldn’t dip your head underwater otherwise you get severe infection. So overall If you are not difficult customer you could definately enjoy it here but for someone who went to multiple onsens before, this one has been the weakest so far.
