The road leading to Thong Nai Pan Yai is steep and winding, and can be challenging in wet conditions, so travellers arriving by scooter or songthaew should account for this, particularly during the rainy season which runs roughly from October through December. The beach is best visited between January and September for more reliable weather and calmer seas.
