Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach sits on the northeastern tip of Koh Phangan, offering a quieter alternative to the island's more crowded western and southern shores. The road leading to Thong Nai Pan Yai is steep and winding, and can be challenging in wet conditions, so travelers arriving by scooter or songthaew should account for this, particularly during the rainy season which runs roughly from October through December. The beach is best visited between January and September for more reliable weather and calmer seas.
