About Koh Ngai Resort
Koh Ngai Resort is one of the oldest places to stay on the island, on its own small beach beside the pier at the southern tip, around the corner from the main beach. It has garden and beach bungalows, a seaside restaurant and a bar, and it costs noticeably less than the resorts on the main beach. The rooms are dated, and the jetty next door can be noisy.
It's quiet, and some guests have the place almost to themselves, but getting to the main beach's restaurants and bars means a steep, sometimes slippery jungle trail or a kayak, and the resort runs no shuttle. The restaurant closes early and the WiFi is limited. Book it for a cheap, peaceful night or two, not as a base for exploring the island.

Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Location Matters More Than Stars
A well-located 3-star hotel often beats a remote 5-star resort. In Bangkok, staying near a BTS or MRT station saves hours; on islands, proximity to the beach you actually want matters most.
