Wicked Diving built its name on the idea that a Similan liveaboard could be both excellent and responsible: small groups, crews paid and trained properly, single-use plastics off the boats, and conservation woven into the briefings rather than bolted on for marketing. The Khao Lak operation runs multi-day Similan and Richelieu Rock liveaboards through the national park season, plus courses and day trips, and draws the kind of returning international divers who choose operators on values as much as price. The diving itself needs no ethical subsidy — the Similans' granite boulders, soft corals and the fish tornadoes of Richelieu Rock are Thailand's best underwater days, and small-group boats simply experience them better. Trips suit newer divers with an Open Water card as well as experienced hands; the crew levels groups sensibly. Good to know: liveaboards run in the park season (roughly mid-October to mid-May) and the small boats fill earliest of all — book well ahead for high season.
