We googled many different ethical elephant sanctuary’s in Thailand before deciding on this one and we are so glad we did. We wanted to make sure the elephants were treated really well so did not want anything to do with anything like riding on them etc We had an amazing once in a lifetime experience with these beautiful gentle giants, and particularly liked the fact that in the evening they are free to roam the jungle to sleep but choose to return to the park during the day clearly enjoying being fed and bathed etc We also liked the fact there wasn’t a large amount of people that could upset or scare the elephants just a few small groups Joy our guide was not only informative but very engaging and patient she answered all questions about the elephants and the sanctuary and Bob our elephant handler clearly loved his elephant Choosri and was happy to take photos for us. The whole experience was finished off by a nice Thai meal and a drink. We would thoroughly recommend a visit to this elephant park
Our Expectations were exceeded , this day finally was great. The closness to the Elephant Choosri is breathtaking. We were alowed to take a bath and wash her in a hugh Pool. She ist 59 years old beautiful safed elephant Lady.so chilly she moves in the Lake and in the wood and are always hungry😃🍍🍌, she has a hard job to Do 20 hours to eat and only 4 hours less to sleep. Sometimes she can remember of some guest When the tourist guide Show her a Foto from peopel the join time with her together she moves her 🐘trunk to the sky and take a reaction for remembering of those guest. One of the most impressive things I’ve done! We got the chance to wash and walk with the elephant lady Choosri. We had a very nice and competent guide for our private tour. My impression is that the animals are in good hands and the staff is taking care about them like family members. It was a great experience that I can recommend for everybody who it’s on vacation in Khao Lak or Phuket.
