Katemanon Shooting & Archery Range - Huahin
Set in Tambon Thap Tai on the outskirts of Hua Hin, this well-regarded shooting and archery facility draws visitors looking for something beyond the usual beach holiday activities. The range offers both archery sessions and a selection of firearms packages, with options ranging from handgun and shotgun combinations to multi-gun packages featuring weapons such as a Glock, Magnum, MP5, and pump-action shotgun. Staff are flexible with custom packages for those who prefer to choose their own experience rather than a preset bundle.
The facility is professionally run with trained instructors who guide participants through safety and technique, making it accessible to first-time shooters and archery beginners alike. On-site there is also a cafe, giving visitors a place to relax before or after their session. The atmosphere is organised and welcoming, and the range is noted for being well-maintained. Morning visits tend to be quieter, which can mean more range time and a more relaxed pace.

Reviews from Google
Booked 30 min archery in the morning, a very nice experience, nice facilities, 5 years old acc to management. Nice cafe on site. The range was not busy in the morning, so they were kind and let us go on much longer than the booked slot. Overall we had a very good time.
Very professional instructors and enjoyable experience. Myself and my wife chose 3Gun package of hand gun, Heckler & Koch machine gun and pump action shotgun. It’s worth booking as can get busy at times. Overall plan for about one hour there.
Ideally book your timeslot online, I personally didn't want to shoot the guns in the package they were offering so I went there to select a custom package, the staff were very accommodating and said I could select any combination but I had to wait for a time slot which was no problem. Please be aware that this place is for the experience of shooting guns, the targets are very close and nearly impossible to miss! If you have experience of shooting and want to challenge yourself it might not be the right choice. There is currently no skeet or trap shooting but the staff said it will be available next year

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Popular Activities Online
Booking platforms like GetYourGuide give you instant confirmation and, on many activities, free cancellation — and you can read recent reviews before committing. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
