Wat Sala Loi

The draw here is the main hall, which is shaped like a traditional Thai boat, the idea being a vessel carrying the faithful toward enlightenment. It's an odd, striking thing to come across in Korat, and it makes this one of the more architecturally unusual temple complexes in the province. There's a large white Buddha sculpture in the grounds too, and a decorative waterfall that softens the whole place.

What I'd stress is that this is a functioning temple, not a set piece. Locals come to make merit and monks live and work here, so you'll be walking through someone's daily religious life rather than an attraction with a ticket booth. Go early in the day on a weekday if you want the grounds quiet enough to actually sit and look at the boat hall properly. Photographers will want the white Buddha with morning light on it.
