Drop In Bar is the other half of Haad Rin's old guard — alongside Cactus, one of the beachfront bars that built the Full Moon Party's reputation, and still one of the busiest stretches of sand on Sunrise Beach on any high-season night. The formula is unapologetic: commercial dance and throwback anthems, fire shows, bucket stands, and a dance floor that starts on the deck and dissolves into the beach. On party night its sound system claims its stretch of the strip; on ordinary nights it's often the busiest single bar in Haad Rin. For first-timers the practical value is orientation: Drop In and Cactus between them bracket the heart of the beach, so 'meet at Drop In' survives even peak-party chaos. Daytime, the same deck does food and recovery smoothies with a front-row view of the beach reassembling itself. Good to know: free entry on normal nights; the Full Moon Party's beach fee is separate and collected at the entrances.
