The complex sits on Chayangkun Road, and it's open-air rather than air-conditioned mall, which changes the whole feel of it. You wander between shops and food vendors instead of riding escalators past chain stores. Everyday shopping, casual dining, a bit of space to sit around. Locals treat it as a normal part of the week, and that's exactly why it's worth an hour of your time.
Go in the early evening. That's when the stalls are properly going and the crowd builds. Midday is fine if you just need something specific, but you'll be looking at a lot of shuttered units and empty seating, and the open layout does you no favors in the heat.
