Tian Ming Hostel @ Samui
Tian Ming Hostel sits in the Bo Put area of Koh Samui, offering a well-balanced base for travellers who want comfort without the resort price tag. The hostel earns consistent praise for its cleanliness, which stands out even by hostel standards — showers are spacious, beds are generously sized, and the overall space carries a calm, well-maintained atmosphere. Both dormitory and private room options are available, with dorms featuring some of the largest personal lockers guests are likely to encounter, and private rooms offering a hotel-like experience at a more modest price point. The staff are a recurring highlight across visitor feedback, described as friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating from check-in onwards. The hostel's location in the quieter Bo Put district keeps it removed from the busiest nightlife strips while remaining within easy reach of local bars and restaurants — a practical balance for those who want convenience without noise. For travellers considering a stay, it is worth noting that the hostel caters well to both solo travellers and couples, given the range of room types on offer. As no website is currently listed, reaching out directly or booking through a third-party platform in advance is advisable, particularly during Koh Samui's peak season between December and April when accommodation fills up quickly across the island.

Visitor Reviews
All in all a great Hostel. Room: the double room we have was almost like in a hotel. Even the dorms were nice and they had the biggest lockers I've ever seen in a hostel. I kid you not the biggest backpack you can possibly carry to the island will fit in there. Kitchen: well equipped, all you need. Staff: very nice and helpful, we even got a free coffee every morning. Location: the location is almost perfect as it is slightly off the touristy and hence pricy areas and yet just a few minutes walk from chaweng beach = to one of those touristy areas. It looks like most locals buy stuff in the area as well, everything is about half the price you'd pay in other more touristy locations on the island. Transportation: from the airport we paid like 10€, for getting around I'd recommend using songathews from chaweng beach.
Really good location. Not too far from bars and restaurants but out the way enough to be in a quiet area Really good service, room was really clean air con was really good. Only slight issue was the en-suite minimal tissue paper provided and the shower in the toilet was tight squeeze it was more of a wet room and it was constantly wet. There was also no community toilets/ showers only the ones provided in rooms. Over all really good hotel, would definitely recommend Lady on reception was lovely and offered us a free coffee :)
It delivers exactly what’s promised at a fair price, I stayed in a private room and it had a huge bed (quite comfortable) and a clean bathroom. The staff have been extremely helpful and are really nice over all. Nice area, 5 min walk from the main beach, you can feel that is a “locals” area, not much tourists around, never did we feel unsafe or like we should not be here. There is also some really nice restaurants around at a quite cheap price. Over all, really good place to spend a few days in Samui
Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
