500 Rai Floating Resort is the best-known luxury stay on Cheow Lan Lake, a floating resort of deluxe rooms, villas, family suites and a honeymoon suite, with a floating pool. Meals come with the stay, and the resort runs nature and wildlife trips, Thai cooking, Thai drinks and massage on the lake, so most guests don't leave between boat trips. Outside food and drink aren't allowed.
There's no Wi-Fi and no mobile signal, which is the point, though the resort can arrange a line in an emergency for a fee. It's the most luxurious way to sleep on the lake, though not always the best value.
