Why go, and how to do it well

Sanom Beach is a small cove on Koh Lipe's south coast, just west of Pattaya Beach and reached in a few minutes over a wooden walkway around the rocks. It's the quiet corner of the island's busiest bay, with soft sand, very clear water and boulders at either end, and the Sanom Beach resort behind it.

It's the place I'd go from Pattaya Beach for a swim without the speedboats and longtails coming and going. The boats land on the main beach, so the water here is calmer and emptier.
