Mommy Cook Kitchen
Nestled in the Hin Lek Fai area near Black Mountain, Mommy Cook Kitchen is a restaurant and bar that doubles as a tourist attraction, drawing visitors with its inviting atmosphere and memorable setting. The space is thoughtfully decorated, with warm night lighting and a generous mix of indoor and outdoor seating that makes it equally suited to a leisurely afternoon drink or an evening meal. Standout dishes include a Curry Crab noted for its rich Burmese-influenced flavours, alongside an extensive menu of Thai food and cocktails. The ambience leans relaxed and intimate, making it a good spot to watch the sun go down with a drink in hand. Service is consistently described as attentive and welcoming, and the kitchen caters to a broad range of tastes. The menu is written in English, which is worth knowing in advance as some travellers may take that as a cue about pricing — costs are on the higher side compared to typical local eateries, so it suits those happy to pay a little more for a comfortable, scenic setting. Mommy Cook Kitchen is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 10pm, giving visitors plenty of flexibility to drop in for lunch, sunset drinks, or dinner. It is closed on Mondays. Those travelling by car or motorbike will find it easiest to reach given its location outside the main Hua Hin town centre, and checking the Facebook page before visiting is recommended for the latest updates.

Visitor Reviews
Very nice, lovingly decorated restaurant. The selection of dishes is very extensive. We had already eaten beforehand and happened to pass by this restaurant by chance (it was only opened 4 weeks ago). We had a few drinks and will be dining there soon. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Thank you for the kind service.
Nice quiet location with nice decor, great night lighting and plenty of seating options both inside and out. Service was good and food was tasty, prices were reasonable and a decent selection of drinks available. A little out of town but worth the trip.
Update. Try the Curry Crab, wow Burmese flavors. Very good! Lovely little restaurant and bar close to black mountain. Great place to sit and have an afternoon drink and watch the sun go down. Good menu. Wonderful staff.

Tips for Visiting Activities & Tours
Vet Elephant Sanctuaries
Only visit sanctuaries that prohibit riding, use no chains or bullhooks, and let elephants roam freely. Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai set the standard. If a place offers painting shows or circus tricks, walk away.
Book Through Klook or GetYourGuide
These platforms offer instant confirmation, free cancellation on most activities, and prices that are often lower than walk-up rates. Compare with local agencies for multi-day trips where negotiation might save more.
Do Outdoor Activities in the Morning
Heat and humidity peak from noon to 3 PM. Schedule jungle treks, cycling tours, and outdoor cooking classes for early morning. Water activities are more flexible since you're in and out of the sea.
