Chill Bar Samui
Chill Bar Samui lives up to its name, offering a relaxed, no-fuss spot along a busy main road in Bo Put where travellers can slow down and settle in. The bar is regularly praised for its welcoming atmosphere, with visitors drawn in by the easygoing vibe and the chance to simply sit, sip, and observe the rhythm of island life passing by. Guests can expect a good variety of drinks alongside free use of a pool table and a selection of board games, making it a social spot that encourages longer stays. The bar also functions as a live music venue and event space on occasion, adding to its versatility. Pricing on drinks is reported by visitors to be reasonable, which suits the unpretentious, come-as-you-are character of the place. It is worth noting that visitor experiences appear to vary, with most reviews highlighting friendly and personable service, while at least one review raises concerns about how staff are treated behind the scenes. As with any bar, a first visit during quieter hours is a good way to get a feel for the place before committing to a longer evening there. No website or published opening hours are currently available, so dropping in directly is the most reliable way to check availability.

Visitor Reviews
Chill Bar Koh Samui was the highlight of our time on the island. The owner, Ton is the nicest guy you’ll meet! We played cards and enjoyed our drinks while watching the day and traffic go by. We visited here two days in a row and would recommend to anyone staying in the area! You will get incredible hospitality here and he has a full pool table and other card games/connect 4 etc.

Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
