Wat Saphan Floating Market
Tucked behind a temple in the Taling Chan district of western Bangkok, this weekend floating market draws a predominantly local crowd rather than tourist buses, giving it a distinctly unhurried, neighbourhood character. The market sits alongside the temple grounds and offers access to the waterways by boat, connecting visitors to the traditional canal-based trading culture that once defined daily life across Bangkok. Vendors sell a wide variety of Thai traditional food, fresh produce, and ready-to-eat dishes at prices well below what visitors typically encounter at more commercialised floating markets. Seating is available waterside, and the combination of temple grounds and canal setting creates a pleasant, easygoing environment. Visitors arriving by boat can stop to explore the temple before browsing the market stalls on foot or continuing by water. Good to know: The market operates only on weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Visiting on a public holiday may mean some vendors are closed, so a regular weekend morning is the more reliable choice. Arriving early ensures the best food selection before stalls begin to wind down. The site has parking available for those driving, and toilet facilities on-site are reported to be clean and modern. Bring cash, as street food vendors typically do not accept cards.

Visitor Reviews
A beautiful floating market, really not a tourist focus. Here you will still meet many locals. The food is delicious and very cheap, unlike tourist spots. A trip with a boat is really recommended for only 100 baht you will be taken to a temple and after a short stay to an orchid farm and back to the starting point. The waterways are wonderful you see many locals live and work like this. A great experience on a wonderful day. I can really only recommend this place to you.
This market is clean and easy to park then walk. There is not much shop here but you can find various thai traditional food. It is really like you are on countryside. There is a tourist boat service. It is really good to sit here in the morning.

Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
