Robinson Sukhumvit
Robinson Sukhumvit is a well-established department store and shopping centre that has served Bangkok's Sukhumvit corridor for decades, earning its place as a recognisable retail landmark in the Watthana district. Spread across four to five floors, the centre carries a broad mix of clothing for men, women, and children, alongside electronics, bags, and everyday goods from both local and international brands. A food court and dining options round out the offering, making it a practical one-stop destination for shopping and a meal. The atmosphere is that of a traditional Thai department store — familiar, comfortable, and reliably air-conditioned, which is no small consideration in Bangkok's climate. Shoppers frequently find discounted goods, and the variety of merchandise appeals to everyday practical shopping rather than luxury retail. Long-time visitors note the centre's consistency over the years, and first-timers often appreciate the accessible layout and reasonable prices. Good to know: Robinson Sukhumvit sits directly adjacent to Asoke BTS Skytrain station, making it straightforward to reach from most parts of Bangkok without dealing with road traffic. It is also within a short walk of Terminal 21 shopping mall, so both venues can easily be combined in a single outing. Sukhumvit Road experiences heavy congestion during weekday peak hours — roughly 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM — so arriving by BTS and visiting mid-morning or early afternoon offers the most relaxed experience.

Visitor Reviews
Robinson Sukhumvit, a big and famous superstore located in Bangkok, Thailand. It has 4/5 floors of shops. Various items are being sold there. Clothes for men, women and babies, electronics items, bags, shoes, cosmetics etc items are available there. Very large collection of products! Watsons and Tops have large number of spaces in the market.
After so many years, 20 years, Robinson is still there for most shopping needs. The food court used to be better as I remember years ago. Especially the Japanese place. Still great to see the iconic department store standing 😊
Great access to the BTS. Just right beside Asoke BTS station, a few minutes walk away from the Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. So many goods in discount. It’s my first time and I am loving it.
Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
