Siam Discovery
Standing apart from Bangkok's conventional malls, Siam Discovery takes a concept-driven approach to retail organised around lifestyle themes rather than a standard brand-by-brand layout. This gives the space a more gallery-like atmosphere than neighbouring shopping centres, drawing a design-conscious crowd looking for something beyond the typical mall experience. The interior is modern, clean, and air-conditioned throughout, with a curated selection that leans strongly toward fashion, homeware, accessories, and electronics. It is particularly well-regarded for its range of Japanese labels, including Issey Miyake and Comme des Garçons, making it a notable stop for fashion-focused visitors. Beyond shopping, a selection of cafes and dining options are spread across multiple floors, and the overall atmosphere is noticeably more relaxed than Bangkok's busiest retail hubs despite sitting at the heart of the Siam district. Good to know: Siam Discovery sits within easy walking distance of Siam BTS Skytrain station, making it one of the most straightforward shopping destinations to reach in central Bangkok without navigating traffic. Weekday mornings and early afternoons tend to be quieter than evenings and weekends. The mall connects conveniently to neighbouring centres including Siam Paragon and CentralWorld, so it pairs naturally with a broader afternoon spent exploring Bangkok's central shopping precinct.

Visitor Reviews
Siam Discovery is a beautiful mall full of great shopping and cafes. It’s especially strong if you’re looking for Japanese brands. After just visiting Tokyo, the Issey Miyake, Comme des Garcons, Evisu and other shops here are much better stocked than their shops in Japan. It’s a great place to find a price that is sold out other places. Aside from major fashion brands (not all Japanese—Ganni, Margiela, etc), there’s a lot here to *discover* from smaller brands to vintage.
ICONSIAM in Bangkok is one of the most significant commercial complex projects in Thailand in recent years, hailed as a "commercial miracle on the banks of the Chao Phraya River." It has not only redefined the luxury shopping experience in Bangkok, but has also become a benchmark case for global commercial real estate due to its deep integration of culture, art and commerce.
I love this view. Bangkok is more developed than many other Asian country but without polluted air. Every thing is balance. ☺️

Tips for Visiting Markets & Shopping
Haggle at Markets, Not Malls
Prices at market stalls are negotiable — start at 50–60% of the asking price and meet in the middle. Fixed-price shops and malls don't haggle. Smile and keep it friendly; aggressive bargaining is considered rude.
Arrive Early or Late
Vendors believe the first sale of the day is lucky — you'll often get a better deal if you arrive right when the market opens. Late in the evening, sellers may also discount to avoid packing unsold goods.
Be Cautious with Tailors
Bangkok has excellent tailors, but also many tourist traps. Avoid anyone offering suspiciously cheap suits or who approaches you on the street. Ask your hotel for recommendations, read reviews, and always get two fittings.
