Phuket Old Town Hostel
Compare prices
Phuket Old Town Hostel occupies a well-positioned spot on Krabi Road in the historic core of Phuket City, placing guests within easy walking distance of Talang Road's Sino-Portuguese shophouses, the Sunday Lard Yai Walking Street Night Market, and the broader Old Town district. The hostel offers a mix of dormitory and private rooms, including family room options, alongside a cafe, a TV lounge, and free Wi-Fi — making it a practical base for budget-conscious travellers who want to spend their time exploring rather than commuting. The atmosphere leans relaxed and low-key. Rooms are described by guests as basic but clean, and staff are noted as friendly and accommodating despite some language limitations. The hostel also stocks a small selection of local snacks, souvenirs, and artisan goods, adding a modest cultural touch to the stay. Being situated on a main street does mean some road noise, so light sleepers may want to request a quieter room or bring earplugs. Good to know: reception hours run from 08:00 to 22:00 every day of the week, so guests arriving after 10pm should arrange late check-in in advance by contacting the property directly through their website. Those visiting on a Sunday will find the Lard Yai Night Market virtually on the doorstep — an added bonus for first-time visitors to Phuket Old Town.

If you are looking for something new, you may stop over here for a little while. Rare snacks and rare toys for sale if you are a souvenir hunting. A little corner of small art workshop which you can spend your time in peaceful mind. 100% handmade cute keyring/magnet made from clay, you may paint it yourself if you like.
Good value for money. It's very close to the night market and it's right in the middle of Phuket Old Town! Staff is very friendly. Although her English vocab is quite limited, she is able to cater to our basic needs. We got ourselves a king bed with a private toilet on the second floor. The bathwater can at times turn super hot and then warm, alternating every few seconds. The unit has a functional AC, a must for such a hot weather. Poor soundproof system, so you gotta keep your voice down to avoid disturbing neighbours. Shampoos, waters and some snacks were provided. Overall I would say that it's a great value for such a affordable price.
