Perched on a cliff on Koh Samui, Bayview Resort offers guests sweeping sea views that consistently draw praise from visitors. The resort includes an outdoor pool, a spa, and on-site dining, making it a self-contained retreat suited to those looking to unwind in a scenic setting. Rooms are described by guests as peaceful and well-maintained, with standout sea-view accommodations among the highlights. The atmosphere leans toward quiet and upscale rather than lively and social, which suits travellers seeking relaxation over convenience. Staff receive frequent mentions for being polite and attentive, and the breakfast offering has been noted positively. That said, guest experiences have varied, with some visitors reporting maintenance and service concerns, so it is worth reading recent reviews before booking. Practically speaking, the cliff location means the resort is not walkable to nearby areas, and guests will need to rely on taxis or scooters to reach Chaweng and other parts of the island. This adds to transport costs and should be factored into the overall budget, particularly as the resort sits at a higher price point relative to other accommodation options on Koh Samui. Travellers who prioritise views and a tranquil setting over central access are likely to find it the better fit.

Visitor Reviews
We had a beautiful room with a sea view in a very peaceful location. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Also for two weeks, our room was always spotless. I am absolutely in love. Thank you
Bayview was a wonderful resort with little to complain about. Beautiful view, kind staff and great accomodation. Breakfast vas very good and the pools were nice. Somewhat far away from Chaweng.
It was our most expensive hotel during our 6weeks journey. The view is there strong side. It’s really beautiful. Although. As it’s on cliff you should know that logistics from hotel is not for walking. We got a room 4 floors down from entrance and breakfast was one floor up from the entrance. So, you can imagine that we’ve done some sports during our stay as there’s no lift.. Breakfast is pretty weak as for this level hotel and it was cold until we made a notice about it. We booked room for 4 people but were getting 2 clean towels until personally asked cleaning lady to leave more. Receptionist said that children doesn’t count or smth like that :)) The pool is really nicely done, the view is amazing, but it’s dirty. I mean the walls are really dirty. All in all. It could be really something special, but it needs good manager and a hand.

Tips for Visiting Hotels & Resorts
Book Shoulder Season
May–June and September–October offer dramatic discounts (30–50% off peak rates) with fewer crowds. Weather is mixed but rarely a washout — afternoon showers clear quickly.
Compare OTAs and Direct Rates
Always check the hotel's own website after finding a rate on Agoda or Booking.com. Many Thai properties offer a best-rate guarantee or throw in perks like free breakfast when you book direct.
Pool Villa Doesn't Mean Expensive
Private pool villas in Krabi, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai start around 2,500–4,000 THB/night — a fraction of Bali or Maldives prices. Search specifically for 'pool villa' to surface hidden gems.
