Liquid Lounge Social Bar
Tucked into the laid-back Bo Put neighbourhood on Koh Samui's east coast, Liquid Lounge Social Bar has built a loyal following among both travellers and long-term island residents. Much of its appeal comes down to owner Chris, who is consistently praised for making guests feel genuinely welcome — whether they arrive solo, with friends, or as a complete stranger passing through. It is the kind of neighbourhood bar that turns a quiet evening into a memorable one. The atmosphere leans relaxed and social rather than loud and club-like, fitting neatly into Bo Put's generally low-key character. Visitors can expect cold beers, cocktails, and shooters — the "mad dog" shooter gets a specific mention from regulars. Conversations flow easily here, and the bar has a reputation for drawing people back night after night during longer stays on the island. Birthday gatherings and casual get-togethers both seem equally at home in the space. Good to know: Bo Put sits on the quieter northern end of Koh Samui's east coast, so this bar suits travellers who prefer a sociable evening without the intensity of the busier southern beach strips. Opening hours are not widely listed online, so it is worth checking locally with your accommodation or swinging by in the early evening to get a feel for the schedule before committing to a night out there.

Visitor Reviews
One of those bars you keep coming back to — not because you have to, but because you want to. In our two months on Samui, this place became a true point of attraction for us. Heartfelt conversations, an awesome bar owner. Definitely worth a visit. So glad we stumbled upon this place by chance — it’s staying in my Google Maps favorites for sure
Cris is awesome! I was by myself and looking for a place to have a couple drinks. The bar was quiet but I had the chance to chat with Cris, the owner, and I had such a great time. Come alone or with friends, open area with some chill zones! 👌
Some weekend fun here with friends celebrating birthdays of the owner & his lifelong friend. 2 excellent evenings of visiting, stories, cocktails, shooters & cold beer. Great spot in a great location. Great times & many memories with friends.
Tips for Visiting Nightlife & Bars
Carry Your Passport or a Copy
Clubs and some bars check IDs strictly, especially in Bangkok's Thonglor, RCA, and Sukhumvit areas. A photo of your passport info page on your phone usually works, but carrying a laminated photocopy is safer.
Know the Closing Times
Legal closing time is 2 AM for most venues, though enforcement varies. In Bangkok's designated entertainment zones (RCA, Silom Soi 2/4, Khao San), some clubs stay open until 4 AM. Islands tend to be more relaxed about hours.
Buy Bucket Drinks Cautiously
Island bucket drinks (mixed spirits in a small bucket) are cheap and fun but notoriously strong and inconsistent. Stick to one, stay hydrated, and never leave your drink unattended at beach parties.
