Audibar | Koh Samed

This is a drinks-after-the-beach sort of bar, not a night out. It sits inside the Sea Breeze Bungalow complex on Koh Samet, which shapes the whole thing, with mostly guests wandering over in flip-flops, plus a few independent travelers who've worked out it's there. Mid-range prices, no pretense, and the unhurried island pace that Koh Samet does better than almost anywhere within a few hours of Bangkok.

The listed hours say open 24 hours, every day. I'd treat that as island shorthand for "someone's usually around" rather than a promise of a 4am cocktail. Bars attached to bungalow operations tend to wind down when the last table does, and low season thins things out further. Weekends and Thai public holidays fill the island up, so if you want the version of this place that lets you sit and lose an hour, come midweek.

Go for a sunset drink and stay because you can't be bothered to move. That's the correct use of it. If you're after loud music and a crowd, the beach bars elsewhere on the island will serve you better.
