This is where Ubon eats after work, and that's the appeal. Stalls run along Khuanthani Road beside Thung Sri Muang Park, and the mix leans local, with Isan dishes, snacks, sweets, plus clothing, accessories and the kind of everyday goods that tell you the crowd is mostly people who live here. It isn't a tourist market with a tourist market's prices or patter.
My advice is to turn up around five, not eight. Things open from 16:30 and the first hour or so is when you can actually walk, look at what's being cooked and point at it without a line behind you.
